Symptom vs. Cure

pillhead

Are the pharmaceutical companies treating our symptoms instead of supplying us with the cure?  Am I the only one that finds it strange that year after year billions of dollars are given to Cancer Research but yet year after year we seem farther and farther away from finding the cure?  With the level of today’s research and technology, how is this possible?  Well, I have a logical answer for that question…yep, you guessed it…MONEY!!!  There is more money in treating the symptoms verses administering the cure.  Since 2005 the National Institute for Cancer has reported receiving an average of $4.9 billion in funding.  In 2015, Cancer.org stated that there will be an estimated 1,658,370 new cancer cases diagnosed and 589,430 cancer deaths in the United States alone.  Pharmaceutical companies and research foundations are swarming in funds while we are left overcome with grief from losing a loved one to the unfair battle of cancer.  Check out the links below and post your thoughts?

Yes, I have already been aware that the $ is the driving force for these companies. Why find a cure when one can make millions off providing a false sense of hope that these ailments and diseases can possibly be eliminated permanently? As they say, $ is the root of all evil–the driving force where one will kill another one of God’s children just to elevate the position of her/himself. What baffles me is the fact that these ailments/diseases target no particular socioeconomic backgrounds, therefore any and everyone can be a potential target–which further leads me to believe these people are heartless. They are selling their souls for the almighty $. They would rather use their own potential family members as sacrificial lambs rather than provide a cure or more permanent solution in order to save lives.

Could not have said it better myself. Thank you for your insight. What do you think we can do to stop this?

YW! Ppl are already going about alternative means to stop it–natural remedies are one main thing. Absolutely any alternative method of containing your symptoms and treating it can take funding from these research programs and pharmaceutical companies that profit in billions of dollars. Medical marijuana is also being used to help ppl (children included) and they absolutely hate it. Why do you think the don’t want it legalized in all 50 states? That’s taking away from their billion dollar industry. Also, on the other side of things, some of these drugs are actually progressing the conditions/diseases rather than containing them. That’s something ppl experience all too often.

I believe the reason why they will not legalize marijuana in all states is because they know the Cons of young adults getting addicted to the drug….but….the main reason of course, is that they want the rich business leaders to get first dib’s on getting all the MONEY. There’s a show that comes on called Marijuana in America: Colorado Pot Rush. This show is a perfect example of what I mean. They hold big business conferences to discuss how they can profit of the drug once it is legalized. Although it has it medicinal purpose, some who use it begin to act weird and crazy. I’m sure the Mexican drug cartel’s will not like a legal marijuana trade either. Look at how much money they made in Colorado in just one year.

The cure has been discovered, it’s just that we are not all privy to it! Look at Jimmy Carter, he announced that he had cancer one month and then he was remarkably cured the next. I believe that there is a cure for every major disease known to man but, as you noted, why supply the cure when there are “Billions $$$” to be made by treating the symptoms. I use to be one of those people who believed that the people in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry had a conscious, morals, and values and surely they wouldn’t stand by and purposely watch the destruction of cancer on so many families and not provide a cure if they had one. They wouldn’t do that, would they?  I was sadly awaken to see that they view our illnesses, pain, and false hope just as any company’s business strategy or marketing ploy. They ask themselves the question: How do we continue to generate profits and keep repeat customers—Simple…treat the symptoms and FORGET THE CURE!!!!

Great post! I’m sure the elite 1% have cures to all major diseases. We are all undervalued, underestimated, and marginalized by the financial elite. Is there anything that the ‘average american’ can do to fix this? Do you believe our (2) Presidential Candidates will introduce legislation to make positive change in medical breakthrough’s? I’ll put my money on the answer “NO”.

If u reflect back on my response, Ive never indicated there were never cures created–I was answering your questions of why they only treat the symptoms of patients. The answer is very clear in that it’s all about taking the consumer dollar. The value of life is worthless in this day in age. That’s why terror is at an all time high but that’s another topic of discussion.

I’ll make sure to discuss the new “Terror in America” issue very soon 🙂
